Michelle Jacobs, R. Kin - Family Health Team
Michelle Jacobs, R. Kin - Family Health Team
Michelle Jacobs is a R.Kin and a CSEP Clinical Exercise Physiologist working for the Kincardine Family Health Team (KFHT). Michelle graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Kinesiology (Honours) in 2013 and then Niagara College graduate program Exercise Science for Health and Performance in 2014. It took a few years for her to get where she is at the KFHT and each step taught her something about what she wanted out of her career. Her role at the KFHT is to provide exercise prescription for the variety of rehabilitation programs offered as well as run health promotion programs. Working with such a wide patient population challenges her to use many of the skills she has learned over the years. She finds the work very rewarding when her patients make a lifestyle change that helps to manage their overall health. Michelle has truly found her dream job!
In this episode we talk about being "more than an assistant", helping the community at large and moving outside of the box.
